QUESTIONS
Why I use Chryso?
I am always looking for that edge when it comes to my hockey, and with using the Chryso range I definitely feel I add to my game. The feel, design, and power these sticks provide is what I need to succeed at a high international level.
What length do I need, 36.5 or 37.5?
This really comes down to personal preference or what you have played with in the past. However if you are unsure I recommend
using a 37.5inch if you're 5'10" or taller, else I would recommend using the 36.5.
I personally have used a 37.5inch since I was 12 years old, but I have many international hockey friends that use a 36.5inch.
What weight is right for me?
These days most players will generally use a lighter stick. Such materials as carbon fiber & Kevlar Braid have made it possible to use a light stick but still retain maximum power for powerful hitting.
However finding the right weight can sometimes be difficult if you're unsure what you like, or more importantly what suits your game. Strikers and Mid-fielders generally would use a lighter stick as this aids in faster stick work, whereas a Defender might use a heavy stick for hard flat hitting. My recommendation is to use a medium weighted stick as you get the best of both worlds.
Which is the best stick for me?
I currently am using Atlas, current model: Atlas Blackjet As you already might have guessed I have 37.5inch, Medium weighted stick, the Blackjet is the stiffest sticks (90% Carbon) in the Atlas range which is great for powerful hitting.
I hope I have helped in your decision making process, just remember choose the right stick for you and not what your mates are using. phil burrows -- nz hockey team
